In the coming weeks ending the year, we'd like to do a "Portfolio Retrospective" where we feature some of our favorite projects from over the past 15 years (!) of creating video content.
The Back Story:
Returning client Ecamm wanted to create an exciting app demo video showing off their Ecamm Live app. It's an app that allows you to create live streams to social media with broadcast-like features.
The Workflow:
The first challenge was creating a video about live streaming with no actual people. During the main video sequences, we captured elements of the Ecamm Live UI and composited in stock video footage of people looking at the camera. The result is a seamless production that looks like we captured everything live. Even though HiLo Media producer Joseph Nilo provides most of the voiceovers for our videos, a different male VO artist was used on this video. Though you get a glimpse of Joseph at the very end of the video pretending he's a video game live streamer. The final look was created by moving the composites around a 3D camera with real-world camera depth of field effects. This creates a fun motion that moves the video along.
The Result:
The client was pleased with the video. We've created a lot of app marketing videos and screencast tutorial videos for Ecamm over the years.
